Ex-Football Player Trial: Faint Voice Heard in Chilling Final Call, Witness Says

In the trial against ex-football player Blaise Taylor, Keaunte Jones, an acquaintance of victim Jade Benning, testified that Benning appeared happy, normal, and in good spirits when he visited her apartment with Najah Jackson on February 25, 2023. Later that night, Jones received frantic phone calls and briefly heard Benning on a three-way call, describing her voice as faint and distressed. He also testified that Taylor denied harming Benning during two phone conversations, though Jones said he sensed panic in Taylor's voice.
