One Day Mission to GRAN PARADISO | Our First 4000m Peak

Join us as we climb Gran Paradiso (4061m), the highest peak that stands entirely within Italian territory. We chose this mountain as our first 4000m peak since it’s considered one of the most accessible. ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ Our route: 1. Parco avventura Le Gordze du terrè (45°32'40.1"N 7°12'43.5"E) - 1850m 2. Rifugio Federico Chabod hut - 2710m 3. Summit - 4061m 4. Back to Chabod hut The entire hike, from trailhead to trailhead, took us 15 hours. We started at 3:30 a.m., reached the summit at 11:53 a.m., and returned to the starting point at 6:17 p.m. While it’s possible to climb Gran Paradiso in a single day, many climbers prefer to split the ascent into two days for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. In that case, spending the night at the Chabod Hut is a great option, especially if you’re not used to covering 2200 vertical meters in one push.
