Warwick - Following The Town Trail

In this video we follow the Warwick Town Trail. Having bought a town trail at the local Tourist Information centre for a pound and set off to explore this beautiful historic town The trail is marked by bronze plaques in the street which make this easy to follow. During the trail we discover how in 914 Queen Ethelfleda ( daughter of Alfred The Great ) fortified the hill as a Saxon defence against the Danes. We also discover how Warwick has two rare Doric column pillar boxes. We also learn why the Bear and Ragged Staff is the symbol of Warwick The tour is a short circular tour lasting around 1 to 2 hours and takes in the historic centre of the Town.
