Apart from causing your tyres to wear out faster, under-inflating or over-inflating your tyres can be very dangerous while driving. Under inflated tyres wear out a lot faster and become hotter quicker as more of the tyre is touching the road at the same time. It also reduce the handling, speed, and grip of the car which is something you do not want while driving down a busy street. Over-inflation is also quite dangerous and leads to faster wear and tear. When you over-inflate your tyres, you can visibly see the center of the tread expand more than required.
