Photo taken on September 30, 2024 This time on my ramen pilgrimage across Japan, I visited the popular Sankichiya in Shinanomachi, Chuo Ward, Niigata City, for the first time. Apparently, the restaurant is run by two siblings, with the main store in Furumachi, the Keyaki Dori store near Niigata Station, and the Shinanomachi store appearing to be branches. The light, thin noodles of this ramen broth evoke a nostalgic feeling. Located in the semi-basement of a retro multi-tenant building with a Showa-era atmosphere, this building is filled with other interesting restaurants. Next, I'll try Cafe Donzoko!
