Bullet Train Project Boosts Local Innovation: Premnath Rail Leads with 'Make in India' Machinery

As India's ambitious Bullet Train project races toward trial runs, it is not just revolutionizing high-speed travel but also fueling a surge in domestic manufacturing under the 'Make in India' initiative. Valued at over ₹108,000 crore, the project has opened doors for Indian firms to supply cutting-edge machinery, with Premnath Rail emerging as a key player. In an exclusive interview with News Station, company leaders showcased their innovations and revealed how they've captured over 80% of the project's equipment market. Vipin Arora, Chairman and CEO of Premnath Rail, emphasized the transformative impact: "This project has given a massive boost to Indian industry. More than 80% of the machines currently in use for manufacturing and operations are supplied by us." He detailed that their contributions include over 30 machines and nearly 250 wagons, including shunting machines, all operational on the site. Established in 1960 by the late Shri Premnath Dureja as Premnath Engineering Works—a pioneer in construction machinery—the company pivoted to railway equipment two decades ago.
