1199 WHISTLER | 2024 Crankworx Canadian Open DH | Kids' First Training Lap

The Whistler Crankworx Canadian Open DH is on a trail called 1199, named after Stevie Smith. It's a GNARLY downhill mountain bike track, but my kids Nory (15) and Elliott (13) are competing. Nory won this event last year in U15, but is now race age 15 so competing in an older age group that has stiff competition. She's on a new bike this year, a Norco Range that we've converted to a mullet DT. Elliott has just aged into Crankworks from Kidsworx, this is his GoPro POV from his first time on track. The track is intimidating, but he does well here to check off all the features. Most people could not make it down this track, and these kids will be ripping after a few practice laps. Stay tuned to see their progress! Nory and Elliott both ride for Sweetlines Racing, a mountain bike team based near Seattle, WA, USA. We are fortunate to spend a lot of time at Whistler Bike Park, but the 1199 trail is not open to the public. They only have a few hours to practice during specific windows before racing on Saturday. #crankworx #whistler #1199 #mtb #kids #kidsonbikes #kidswhoshred #downhill #dhmtb #creekside #race #bikerace #mountainbike #youth #sports #bikepark #sweetlines #ridenowsleeplater #progressisthepurpose #norcobikes #gopro #POV #hero12 #mtbfamily #canada #action #fun #bicycle #kids #ridebicycles
