To go from the south of Bharatavarsha to Lanka, to cross the mighty waters, He prayed to the King of the ocean and built a bridge from shore to shore with his blessing. With the help of the monkeys, Neelan and Nalan, He built a bridge to Lanka. He provided sanctuary to Vibheeshana who sought refuge in Him. In the battlefields of Lanka, He appeared as Death itself to Ravana. He conferred the title of "Chiranjeevi" to Hanuman, who saved the life of Lakshmana after being struck by a poison arrow. He showed compassion to a defenseless Ravana and asked him to come back prepared the next day. He emerged victorious by dismembering and decapitating Ravana. After winning the war in Lanka, rescuing Sita and returning to Ayodhya, He sent Hanuman to deliver the news of their victory to Bharatha. Glory to thee, Sri Rama.
