There are diseases that humanity has almost forgotten. Not because they disappeared by themselves, but because medicine and science have found a way to prevent them. Today, however, amid misinformation and declining vaccination coverage, some of these diseases are making a comeback and are once again endangering children's health. Measles, rubella and mumps are not simple childhood diseases. They are highly contagious infections that can cause severe complications, permanent disabilities and even death. That is why the documentary "The Path to a Safer Future: Without Measles, Without Rubella, Without Mumps" brings to the forefront scientific evidence, epidemiological data and the testimonies of health specialists to explain why vaccination remains one of the most important measures to protect children and the community. The documentary presents the evolution of these three diseases over time, the epidemics that marked the world, Europe and the Republic of Moldova, as well as the impact that immunization programs have had on the dramatic reduction in the number of illnesses and deaths. At the same time, it explains the history of the development of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella and how they were brought together in a single combined vaccine, the MMR vaccine, an innovation that fundamentally changed the fight against these infections. At the same time, the documentary answers the most frequent questions of parents about vaccination. The audience will discover how a vaccine is developed, what rigorous testing and authorization stages it goes through, how it is transported and stored in maximum safety conditions until it reaches the doctor's office and what the most solid scientific evidence says about the efficiency and safety of the MMR vaccine. “The Path to a Safer Future: Measles-Free, Rubella-Free, Mumps-Free” also explains how the myth about the alleged link between the MMR vaccine and autism emerged, presents the case of the fraudulent study published by Andrew Wakefield and the scientific evidence that unequivocally demonstrated that the MMR vaccine has no connection with the development of autism spectrum disorders. More than a presentation of medical information, the documentary is about trust in science, about the responsibility of each of us and about decisions that can protect not only a child, but the entire community. It is an invitation to information from credible sources and to understand that prevention remains the most effective form of protection. Can the Republic of Moldova remain an example of trust in science, health education and disease prevention through vaccination? The answer depends on each of us. Because, when science and responsibility go together, life always wins. Sometimes, a single decision made on time can make the difference between illness and protection, between risk and a safer future.
