This Tree Spoke to Me… So I Had to Plant It! 🌳💜

In today’s garden project, I tackled several new plantings around the landscape! The day started with removing a dead tree from the front yard. In its place, I planted a Fernspray Gold Hinoki Cypress, a unique evergreen with incredible texture and character. It almost looks like it has a personality of its own! Next, I planted a tree that immediately caught my attention at my favorite garden center: a Red Obelisk Beech. I’ve been wanting a tree with purple foliage in the garden, and this one checks all the boxes. I planted it along the side of the house where it will hopefully provide some much-needed shade while adding beautiful color and structure to the landscape. To finish off the planting projects, I added two new perennials near the back patio: 🌼 Firefly Fuchsia Yarrow 🌸 Bicolor Monkshood After everything was in the ground, I shared a few updates on planting projects from the past year and took a look at how the garden is progressing.
