Lawyer challenges Māori academic about tikanga hui
Tīmoti Kāretu was challenged in the high court in Wellington today about his definition of what a tikanga Māori hui was. The co-chair of the Kōhanga Reo national trust was questioned in court about a tikanga hui that was secretly recorded by Toni Waho - a former trustee who brought the case to the high court in relation to his claims of misspending of trust funds. Eruera Rerekura reports.
