Kaumātua in the Far North face a brutal winter. Some are homeless, without power, heat, or running water, but are suffering in silence in a situation that is life-threatening. How can conditions which have become normalised be turned around, and the elderly provided with a warm, safe roof over their head? Community board member Roddy Pihema is raising the issue.
