On April 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM, a webinar entitled "Skin Diseases in Children and Adults" was held at Professor Tamrazova's School. The topic was "Scleroderma: Focus on Lichen Sclerosus." The online broadcast was attended by 1,506 physicians. Invited Speaker: Irina Olegovna Smirnova – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Professor in the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology at St. Petersburg State University, member of the Russian Society of Dermatovenerologists and Cosmetologists, board member of the Interdisciplinary Association of Specialists in Anogenital Diseases, member of the Interdisciplinary Association of Reproductive Medicine Specialists "MARS," member of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Diseases, author of over 200 publications, including on anogenital dermatoses. A webinar was held on scleroderma, with a special emphasis on lichen sclerosus, one of the characteristic cutaneous manifestations of this disease. Scleroderma is a systemic connective tissue disorder that leads to thickening and loss of elasticity of the skin, and lichen sclerosus exhibits pronounced changes associated with tissue atrophy. The event was aimed at specialists interested in an in-depth study of the pathogenesis, clinical features, and modern diagnostic and treatment methods for scleroderma. The webinar addressed issues related to assessing the severity of skin lesions using modern instrumental and laboratory methods, as well as the clinical course of scleroderma with manifestations of lichen sclerosus. Particular attention was paid to analyzing modern therapeutic strategies – from conservative approaches to innovative methods aimed at correcting pathological changes and restoring skin function. Experts shared the results of the latest research, discussed practical recommendations for patient management, and analyzed clinical cases demonstrating the complexities of diagnosing and treating scleroderma.
