Mopping up after mandate mess
On Sept. 25, 2025, educator Dennis Williams told us how losing his job under the COVID-19 mandate of November 2021 had disrupted his life, forcing him to live in a shack in the mountains of Layou, St. Vincent, with his son. Four months later, he and his son are living in rented accommodation, his vehicle is back on the road, and he is awaiting a call from the Public Service Commission about which government office he should report to for work. Williams thanked iWitness News for telling his story and the “thousands” of people who responded to assist.
