(#14) Transforming My Spanish Terraced Garden - First Look!

A first look at the garden and land below the house, as I cut back a lot of vegetation with the faithful Stihl strimmer. I show the paths, the terraces and various plants (a yucca, an iris, olive trees and a cork tree). There is a glimpse into the history of the land with some old aerial photos and a vision of the potential future and my ideas for what I might do in each area. It ends with a request for suggestions and ideas about what you would do with the land. 00:00 coming up 00:27 intro 00:47 top terrace 01:58 upper path 03:02 terrace 2 03:43 some history 04:36 some plants 05:44 terrace reborn 06:34 slope work 08:31 lower path 08:56 terrace 3 10:13 tree path 11:31 terrace 4 13:17 cork tree 13:52 a climb 14:55 fly-by reminder 15:54 outro - - - - about my channel and its videos - - - - My channel is about the renovation and restoration of an old stone house on a hill in Catalunya (North East of Spain). The house is near the Costa Brava and has magnificent views of the forest around it and the Mediterranean Sea. The house has many beautiful old features, including its stone walls, vaulted ceilings, ancient terracotta tiles and many quirky parts added over the centuries. At the moment, I am working on the house on my own as I try to turn it into a dream home in harmony with the nature and culture that surrounds it. The house is not in France or Italy and is not a Chateau or Cabin, but I watch and am inspired by channels that are. Especially Martijn Doolaard and Dan Preston's Escape to Rural France. I love Martijn's style, philosophy and cinematography and Dan's energy, humour and ambition. I'm trying to include some of these attributes in my videos.
