Tubeless vs. Schlauch: Welches System ist die Nummer 1 am Mountainbike?

Tubeless or inner tube? Hardly any question is debated as intensely in the mountain biking world. Even though the tubeless system has become increasingly popular in recent years, there are still reservations about the approach and some pragmatic reasons against messing around with sealant. We asked ourselves: Are these reservations still justified – and which system is number one? To test this, we went to tire manufacturer Schwalbe and put the tubeless system, the new and particularly lightweight TPU inner tubes, and the classic butyl inner tubes against each other on several test benches, i.e., under laboratory conditions. We tested rolling resistance, puncture protection, and, of course, the classic snakebite puncture that everyone is familiar with. The results are sometimes surprising! In the video, we explain which system is best for you – and, of course, we also back it up with extensive practical experience from our experienced test team!
