How to make red bean paste (Anko) in your instant pot
Do you need red bean paste to make Asian desserts? Check out this video to learn how to make red bean paste in your instant pot with a few easy steps. You can make either SMOOTH or CHUNKY red bean paste in a fraction of time with the help of your instant pot. 📋 Ingredients: Azuki beans - 1 + 1/2 cup (300g) Water - 4 cup + 4.5 cup Sugar - 1 + 1/4 cup Salt - 1/8 tsp 👩🍳 Instructions: 1) Rinse the azuki beans. 2) Pour 4 cups of water and azuki beans into the instant pot. Press the "Saute" button and select "More" mode. Keep the default time (30 minutes) and cover to boil. When it starts boiling, cook the beans for 10 minutes and drain them. 3) Add 4.5 cups of water and transfer the azuki beans to the instant pot. 4) Lock the lid in place and set the valve in the lid to the sealing position. 5) Press the “Bean/Chili” button and set the time to 20 minutes. 6) Once finished cooking, let it release naturally. 7) Drain the azuki beans and put them back into the instant pot. Press the "Saute" button and select "Less" mode. Keep the default time (30 minutes). 8) Add sugar and salt. 9-a) [Fine Red Bean Paste]: Use a hand blender directly in the pot or cool down and transfer to your blender to blend in 2-3 batches. Continue cooking until you can see the bottom of the pot for 2 seconds after scraping the spoon against it before the beans return to cover it. 9-b) [Chunky Red Bean Paste]: Continue cooking until you can see the bottom of the pot for 2 seconds after scraping the spoon against it before the beans return to cover it. 10) Now you have the fine/chunky red bean paste.
