Kickdown | Great Northern Rail Rep | LK10 BYT (DE1127) | ADL Enviro 200 Allison

Here we have a Metroline, Ex-Cricklewood (W) Euro 5 Enviro 200 Allison being pelted through the A406, M1, and the somewhat surburban roads of Hertfordshire serving the serving Great Northern Rail Replacement between Welwyn Garden City & Potters Bar via Hatfield in the early morning. Yep... just 2 stops, not long at all, being about 25 mins long. Unfortunately for us...again, we've got another limited bus but it's normal for a company like Metroline! These Ex-Cricklewood Euro 5 Darts are all limited to 39/40 meaning the full stretch of 4th gear weren't possible. This obviously meant the bus could only get into 5th (the last gear) at a slightly lower RPM. Nevertheless, this bus was quite quick, got up to speed nicely and has a nice diff tone that kicks in late 3rd gear, similar to the rest of the batch! These being Euro 5 they don't have proper kickdown like the Euro 4s do, but they've got a high 'power' mode set in their gearbox so it pretty much acts like it does, hence the title!
