"Kickdown" Stagecoach London Route 236 | Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Allison (37575, YY64YKT)

By chance this DMV was at the stands in Newington Green and after my last run on the 488 I decided to try it again. Euro 6 Allison's technically don't have kickdown because they don't actually have a physical switch under the pedal in the traditional sense however some are set up so that the pedal can go further than normal and this activates kickdown. So yes this, U9s, W19s, H26s and the odd derestricted one Metroline have do have kickdown as when the pedal is to the floor they will drop gears (restricted ones dont) and hold their gears for longer. London bus route 236 is operated by Tower Transit Operations out of their Lea Interchange (LI) bus garage. It is allocated with Wrightbus Streetlite DF (WV) vehicles. Route 236 operates between Finsbury Park and Hackney Wick via Highbury Barn, Newington Green, Dalston Kingsland, Haggerston Queensbridge Road, London Fields, Hackney Central and Homerton Hospital.
