Tilak Devasher is Member of India's Premier Body: National Security Advisory Board. He is the author of the widely acclaimed book ‘Pakistan: Courting the Abyss’ published by Harper Collins India in December 2016. It has been described by a noted Pakistani intellectual- Khalid Ahmed- as ‘easily the best book on Pakistan.’ Tilak retired as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India in October 2014. During his professional career he specialized in security issues, especially pertaining to India’s neighbourhood. He has served both in India and abroad. In India, he was in J&K and abroad he has served in missions in Islamabad, San Francisco, Yangon and London. Tilak has written articles for the Economic Times, Indian Express, India Today, Vivekananda International Foundation, Catch News, Daily O and South Asia Monitor. He has appeared on TV shows selectively. His second book on Pakistan is "Pakistan At The Helm". His Third book will be released shortly.
