Limited edition of 5000 copies The story behind Box of Rain: Phil wrote the music first, while his father was very ill and in the hospital. He took the music to Robert Hunter and asked him to write the kind of lyrics that would be "the kind of thing you would say to your father before he dies." Hunter listened to the music once and wrote the entire set of lyrics in about 15 minutes.
