Huge Scenic Otis Hydraulic Elevator @ The Obama Presidential Center Parking Garage, Chicago, IL

This uniquely designed garage - built into an artificial hill with park land and gardens on top - contains a similarly unique elevator. Like the lifts in the museum, this inground hydraulic lift is a custom Otis with Innovation fixtures; its make is evidenced by its Otis cartop equipment, visible through its glass doors at 4:40. In contrast to the museum elevators, this lift's cab is finished in silver stainless steel with a semi-reflective finish, though it features the same sleek swing panels and integrated hall stations. The massive cab also includes a small window on the side, overlooking a small portion of the Obama Center's beautiful grounds. Installed: 2024-25
