Mendocino Coast CA p2 (Fort Bragg, Botanical Garden, Ocean Side Wine Tasting, Lighthouse, Food)

When we booked this trip for a family wedding, I tacked on a couple extra days so that we could take our time to check out this area. I have seen so many photos and videos online of the amazing places and I couldn't wait to check them out! We headed into Mendocino to have brunch and then we did a bit of shopping in the area. This area was full of the cutest little boutiques and restaurants all right next to the ocean. It was so beautiful and so quaint! I love supporting small businesses so this area was a dream for me! We popped into all kind of stores: bookstore, toy store, bakery, gift shops. We finally did our first wine tasting of the trip. Almost anywhere you go in California, you can find a winery. This one is unique because you can sit on a cliff and enjoy your tasting. It's been such a fun year enjoying wines from different regions! They all vary so much! We spent the rest of the day enjoying local eateries and resting up a bit. The next day was our last day in the area where we got to check out the botanical garden! I absolutely love flowers so seeing 47 acres of flowers right next to the ocean is a dream come true! It was so enjoyable to wander through and I even lucked out and got to see my favorite flowers in full bloom! Afterwards, we checked out a lighthouse at a state park where the fog rolled back in for all the moody fall vibes. Then we headed into Mendocino for lunch and a little walk around before heading home. It was such a beautiful visit to Mendocino County and I'm so glad we got to go!
