A barbecue of a whole steer, weighing 190 kilos, was prepared by the barbecue master Neto Leal, during the Paleta Atlântida event, edition 2023, which took place on Xangri-lá beach, on the coast of State of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil.. The event, considered the biggest barbecue in the world held by the sea, took place during the last Saturday of February. But the work of Neto Leal and his dedicated team began much earlier, late Friday afternoon. First, the assembly of the huge grill, followed by the conditioning of the steer and the start of the fire. The steer was roasted slowly throughout the night and Saturday morning, being served at noon. An exhausting but rewarding job, especially for those who tried the roast, which turned out to be succulent and with an unparalleled flavor, which can only be achieved when the piece is not cut into cuts.
