Trains In Wales: 2025

This is a compilation of clips showing trains in Wales, recorded throughout 2025. During 2025 I managed two trips to Wales, and was able to record some of the rail scene there. Over the last few years there has been much change to the national rail network, no more so than in the railways around Cardiff, with the introduction of new trains and upgrades to the network. This video starts at Pontypridd and before heading down one of the Valley Lines to Cardiff (taking in Queen Street, Bay and Central), as well as visiting Barry and Newport. Some of the new electrification is recorded, as well as the new Stadler trains. The old order is also present with Class 150s and a new active travel Class 153. The Class 67 hauled Mark 4 sets also feature, as do some GWR Intercity and regional services. A DB Class 66 makes an appearance in Newport. The video ends at Wrexham where the recycled D-Trains feature on services to and from Bidston. A full chapter list of locations and trains featured appears below.
