Is your 2-Stage System Working Properly? It Might Not Be, And You Might Not Even Realize It!

In this video, I'll describe a problem I found where a 2-stage cooling system was not working as expected, and why nobody ever realized it! A 2-stage system works by starting a cooling session at a lower compressor speed and a lower indoor blower speed. If the house cannot be cooled using the first stage, the system will eventually activate the 2nd stage, which operates the compressor at full speed and the indoor blower at a higher speed. In many cases, you might not even realize Stage 1 is not working, because Stage 2 eventually kicks on and cools your home. In this particular instance, various components of the system were miswired. I'll show you how to verify if the wiring that controls the two stages of cooling is correct, and how to correct it. At the end, there's also a bonus tip that can save you many thousands of dollars on a major repair or replacement!
