EP 46 - The Right Fit, Not the Right Sales Pitch
Coaching isn't something everyone needs right now — and a coach who actually believes in the work will tell you that. In this episode, Marc and Idi talk through what coaching can realistically do for you, what it can't, and how to know if it's actually the right fit for where you are. If what you're doing is already working, a coach isn't going to manufacture a problem just to sign you up. Coaching helps most when you're stuck, unsure, or ready for more structure than you can build alone — not as a default, and not out of guilt. They also get into the difference between a coach and a salesperson. The role only works if the person doing it actually believes in it — not chasing a close, not talking someone into something they don't need. When it's the right fit, it's obvious. When it's not, a good coach will say so.
