The challenge lies in prepping this scrap steel for welding and painting – new materials would be easier, but where's the fun in that when life gives you lemons? This episode showcases our commitment to upcycling projects and making the most of available resources for our expedition vehicle build. Heavy-Duty Design: Protecting the AC & Perfect for Sundowners! While the finished roof rack will be heavy, we've put considerable thought into its design, mounting positions, and brackets to ensure its stable and secure. Crucially, the rack is designed around the air conditioning unit (yet to be connected), providing essential protection. But it's not all function – this rack will also serve as our ultimate sundowner's deck! We meticulously work on the angle of the backrest/wind deflector to ensure it's just right for those perfect scenic stops. Progress & Purpose: Cladding is Next!
