Lakefield to Peterborough - Trent-Severn Solo Canoeing - Day 8
All of the clips in the video were filmed on Saturday September 5th, 2020. This video summarizes the eighth day of my solo canoeing adventure on the Trent-Severn Waterway. Strava for Day 8: / strava In this episode, I paddled from the Lakefield Lock Station (Lock 26) to Ashburham Lock 20 in the City of Peterborough. I started by paddling down the Otonabee River and taking the Canoe through Lock 25 - Sawyer Creek, Lock 24 - Douro, Lock 23 - Otonabee, and Lock 22 - Nassau Mills and entered the city limits of Peterborough. Passing through Trent University, I followed the long man-made canal to the Peterborough Lift Lock - Lock 21. After going down in the lock, and stopping to watch it operate, I continued to my camping destination at Ashburham Lock on the shore of Little Lake. After setting up camp, I paddled across the lake to visit the beautiful Little Lake Cemetery. In the evening I walked to downtown Peterborough and had dinner at a restaurant called La Hacienda.
