St. Bonaventure Feast - Erangal Village | Malad - Mumbai | Procession | 15-07-2025 | Part - 1

St. Bonaventure feast was celebrated on 15th July 2025 at Erangal Village, Malad Mumbai. In this video we are going to see the procession which was started from the entrance of the Erangal Village. The Archbishop his Excellency John Rodrigues was welcome along with the 2 priests followed by nuns, irmavs and the parishners. The procession began with St. Bonaventure statue is taken on the palki towards the church. There were many people came for the feast day from different parts of Mumbai. The procession was followed by traditional East Indian band. There was joy and happiness on this feast day. At the entrance of the church the flag is hosted by The Archbishop his Excellency John Rodrigues. Then St. Bonaventure statue is taken inside the church. There was Eucharistic celebration after this. The inside of the church ceiling was beautifully decorated with blue colourful lights. The front side of the altar was also decorated with lights and flowers. St. Bonaventure was the Franciscan Bishop. The St. Bonaventure church of Erangal Village is the historical church and one of the oldest churches in Mumbai. The church was built in 1575 and has completed now 450 years. The church is just near the sea of Erangal beach Malad, Mumbai. St. Bonaventure was born in Italy in 1221 and died on 15th July 1274. He was canonized in 1482. St. Bonaventure preached Christ as “One True Master”.
