The Complete Harry Potter

The FilmHarmonia Orchestra plays The Complete Harry Potter by Williams, Doyle, Hooper, Desplat (arr. Jerry Brubaker). The music of all eight Harry Potter films recalls the wonder of the Wizarding World. Veteran composer John Williams scored the first three films, establishing many of the beloved themes used throughout the series, including “Hedwig’s Theme”, which opens this piece and has become inseparable from the films. With the playful “Nimbus 2000” and the stately “Hogwarts’ Hymn”, we join Harry, Ron and Hermione’s introduction to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, sharing the excitement, wonders and dangers of this new world. “Fawkes the Phoenix” soars in a bittersweet farewell, and by the time we hear the raucous “Weasley Stomp”, we’ve arrived at the end of the sixth film with the final battle drawing near. One of the reasons this series is so beloved is that the characters and story matured alongside its audience. With origins in good-versus-evil plots, our heroes then face more complex problems and moral ambiguity over the course of the seven books and eight films. https://filmharmonia.com/ https://static1.squarespace.com/stati... *Our Conductor - Joshua McNulty* Joshua McNulty is a seasoned conductor, composer, and educator in the Australian music community.
