Westphalia Waltz
A lovely waltz which I found many years ago in "The Fiddler's Fakebook". I had thought it was an American 'old-time' tune, but someone once told me that it was an "import" from Europe in the 1940s. Anyone know any more? I've recorded this before on mandolin and then guitar - both in G - but I fancied a recording on tenor guitar, and pitched it in D as G is a bit 'growly' for the tenor! This is the 4th outing from my guitar collection. The tenor was made for me in 2009 by Ian Chisholm (www.ianchisholm.co.uk), with English Walnut back and sides and Sitka Spruce face. Very nice 'art deco' style tuners.
