Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. 2. I said to the Lord, 'You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good.' 3. The saints who are on earth are the most excellent, in whom all my delight is. They are there. 4. Those who offer gifts to other gods will have their sorrows multiplied. I will not offer their drink offerings of blood, nor will I take their names on my lips. 5. The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; he maintains my lot. 6. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; truly, my inheritance is pleasant. 7. I will bless the Lord, who has instructed me; my conscience instructs me all night long. 8. I set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 9. Therefore my heart is glad and my spirit rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. 10. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will you let your holy one see corruption. 11. You will show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
