How to Plant a Bare-Root Yew Hedge | Complete Guide

In this video, I'll be showing you how to plant a bare-root hedge. These are trees or shrubs whose roots are bare of soil, which makes them a very cost-effective option. They can be planted as hedges, orchards, rose gardens or forests and come in a range of sizes up to 2 meters. They are grown in a field in sandy soils and are available from late November to March. Before planting, I measure out the area to decide how many to purchase, and ensure the plants are firm and healthy before buying. I will be using yews, which are a harder, slow-growing plant. To prepare the area, I will be digging over the soil and adding organic matter to help the plants establish.
