Hedge trimming Yew, The professional way

Trimming a yew (TAXUS) Hedge. As a professional gardener I explain how and why I trimmed it. I cut the hedge in winter at the beginning of February, to avoid bird nesting season at my clients request. Which I was totally fine with, as it would not harm the hedge and as a professional gardener, I try to do as much as I can to the customers requirements when possible. Yew (Taxus) is a fantastic plant for a more relaxed looking hedge or very formal. It's also the perfect plant for creating topiary. Yew can be any size you require from small to large. Yew is happy in most situations apart from waterlogged ground. I used the Stihl HLA 66 trimmer to do all the work and used one AP200 and half of another battery, in -3 wind chill the hedge cutter performed without any issue.
