After a rancher's lynx attacks the watchdog, Ranger Corey Stuart and Lassie go to visit the injured animal and discover it is now afraid of the terrorizing lynx. Lassie fights off the lynx, but when the creature attacks Lassie who gets caught defenseless in a fence, the terrified watchdog must overcome his fear in order to save her.
