#32 — Servo Transparency in Helicopters: What It Is and How to Recover

Servo transparency (also called "servo reversibility" or "jack stall") happens when aerodynamic loads on the rotor blades exceed the hydraulic servo's authority, usually during high-G maneuvers at high collective. The pilot suddenly feels the controls "fight back" and the helicopter can yaw or roll in the direction of the flight path. This video covers: What's happening mechanically and aerodynamically when servo transparency occurs The conditions that produce it (weight, altitude, airspeed, collective demand) The recovery procedure Why this is taught on every Airbus single-engine recurrent Recurrent and initial training on the AS350/H125, EC130, and other Airbus airframes: https://www.eurosafety.us [email protected] #servotransparency #AS350 #EC130 #helicoptertraining #helicopteremergency #AirbusHelicopters #aviation #helicopterpilot
