i can see a million dreams in this city called shanghai

I flew into Shanghai from Zhangjiajie to see the city's day and night duality. In the day, I strolled through a serene garden and a golden temple. At night, I waited patiently for the neon skyline in the bund–a view I've always wanted to admire in person. Ordered bunch of takeouts and befriended 3 barbers who took me to see 3 towering skyscrapers in the heart of the financial district. They told me stories of what it was like to grow up in china and their dream to make it all work after moving from their hometown. There was so much unknowingness in their plans for their future, and honestly me too. But for that moment, it was what brought us and other unknown faces to this exact coordinate. It was our little rest spot before we depart from one another, but this time feeling more energized places i visited: 1.
