It is a nature reserve that serves the inhabitants of the adjacent cities for local recreation. Due to its long history, there is a lot to discover in the Königsforst: hill graves from the Iron Age, a water trestrep and even the highest mountain in the Cologne city area, the Monte Troodelöh.
