WARATAH MASTERS / B CRIT / LANSDOWNE FULL COURSE / 5 JULY 2026

Good to be back racing at Waratah Masters after about four weeks off with a back injury. The pace was consistent from the start. Not crazy, but steady enough that nothing was really being let go. There were a couple of breakaway attempts and the prime lap lifted things a bit, but it was a strong bunch and everything kept getting brought back. It came down to a super tight finish in the end, with another photo finish across the line. It was also the Centennial Park club championships, so there were quite a few CPCC riders in the race, which made it a good one to be part of. Waratah Masters has been a great club to race with. Really good atmosphere and a lot of fun getting back into racing there. Also very glad I finally dressed properly for winter. Warm kit and new gloves made a massive difference.
