Sometimes, changing the world starts with simply caring enough to stop and help. For Jim Gatlin, that compassion has turned into a mission that’s touched countless animals—and the people who love them—across our community. As co-founder of the McGangsters cat rescue group, Jim has dedicated years of his life to rescuing stray and abandoned cats, helping provide medical care, fostering, and finding safe, loving homes for animals that might otherwise be forgotten. What began with a love for cats has grown into a community-wide effort fueled by compassion, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to doing good. Through adoption events, partnerships with local businesses, and a network of volunteers and foster families, Jim and the McGangsters continue to make a lasting impact—giving hundreds of cats a second chance while inspiring others to step up and help however they can.
