Do this If Your Wood Drill Bit's Edge Gets Chipped

In this video, I show you how to sharpen chipped wood and spade drill bits without using a vise. Since I needed a way to hold the bits securely, I crafted a simple custom tool to lock them in place. Using an angle grinder with a metal cutting disc, I carefully sharpen the edges while making sure not to damage the critical peak of the bits. After showing the clearly visible new edges, I perform a drilling test to prove how well this quick DIY method works. ⏱️ Timestamps: 0:00 – Intro 0:18 – Making holding tool 0:37 – Sharpening the twist drill bit 2:45 – Twist drill bit checking the results 2:59 – Spade drill bit 3:16 – Spade drill bit sharpening 3:16 – Spade drill bit checking the result
