Ayuso advierte de que Madrid se enfrenta al «peor» incendio de su historia

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, warned this Friday that the region is facing the "worst wildfire" in its history and cautioned that the priority right now is saving lives, followed by "assessment and recovery." Ayuso called for everyone to work together to rebuild the region "as soon as possible" and warned that the Community faces "extremely difficult" hours because the "extreme risk" remains. For now, evacuations continue in Aldea del Fresno, San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Pelayos de la Presa, and Villa del Prado, and evacuations are being prepared for nursing homes in Navas del Rey and Cadalso de los Vidrios. "We are monitoring the situation minute by minute to see how everyone there is doing," Ayuso stated. Nursing homes in Chapinería and Colmenar de Arroyo have also been evacuated.
