EXPERIMENTUL PITESTI
One of the most horrific brainwashing experiments in the history of the 20th century took place in communist Romania, at the Pitești prison. Nicknamed the “Pitești phenomenon,” this “re-education” program aimed to psychologically and morally destroy political prisoners through extreme violence, humiliation, physical and mental torture. 📚 This is not just an episode of history, but a lesson in what can happen when ideology becomes more important than human life. 🕯️ In memory of the victims of re-education in Pitești and throughout the communist prison system.
