Workshop 1: Mental Health 101
The Mental Health 101 workshop is part of the co-learning activities developed by the Engaging the Academy Project. The goal of the "Mental Health 101" workshop is to increase knowledge of mental health conditions and struggles during graduate school, identify mental health services and resources available for graduate and professional students, and generate ideas for prevention and intervention. This workshop serves as an introduction to the Mental Health Educational Workshop series. This training focuses on the following topics: 1) Mental health and well-being in graduate and professional students. 2) Mental health illnesses or mental health disorders in graduate school. 3) How does mental health impact graduate students and how can it change over time? 4) Early warning signs of mental health conditions. 5) Factors that impact mental health. 6) Barriers to seeking mental health services. 7) Strategies and Resources to support graduate and professional student mental health.
