This station opened on May 16, 1878, coinciding with the opening of the Surabaya–Pasuruan railway line and was formerly used as a passenger train stop.[3] Unfortunately, the station closed around the 1980s due to low passenger occupancy. When it was still operational, the station had two railway tracks, with track 1 being the through track. It is now used as a residence for local residents. Near this station is the Gunung Gangsir Temple, located 1 kilometer to the southeast. In connection with the planned relocation of the Sidoarjo–Bangil railway line to Tulangan–Bangil due to the Lapindo mudflow, discussions have arisen about reviving this station to facilitate access to the temple and the industrial area in western Pasuruan.
