#FatherJosephJeonSamyong #CatholicStudio 2026 Year A Solemnity of the Holy Trinity – I Believe in God Because of the Doctrine of the Trinity "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Praise be to Jesus! It is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Today, we commemorate the most core and profound mystery of the Catholic faith. It is the doctrine that there are three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and these three are perfectly one God. Many believers struggle to understand this doctrine as a mathematical formula, '1+1+1=1.' Since it cannot be grasped with the mind at all, they regard it as a difficult homework assignment that must be blindly believed without question. However, today I would like to make a very audacious confession to you. I believe that the doctrine of the Trinity is not a troublesome burden that I am forced to believe in, but rather the most perfect and scientific evidence that has convinced me that "God is my true Creator." I believe in God because of the doctrine of the Trinity. Without this doctrine, I would not have been able to believe in God. According to the law of conservation of energy in this universe, no matter or living thing comes into existence spontaneously out of nothing. There must be a "Creator" who gives life and breathes energy into it. If so, how can we identify who among the countless gods is my true Creator? Today, through a logical and perfect four-degree law, I will explore why the Triune God can be our only true Creator. 1. If He is the Creator, He Must Also Be Able to Save Imagine this. There is a robot equipped with top-tier artificial intelligence capable of thinking for itself. One day, this robot contracts a deadly virus, its system collapses, and it begins to die. To survive, the robot asks: "Who made me? Only the One who made me knows my system and can fix me." At that time, numerous IT companies approach, each claiming, "I created you." How does a robot distinguish its true owner? The one who simply insists, "I created you," is not the owner. Only the one who, when the robot's system collapses, perfectly understands the errors in its internal operating system and can install a vaccine to completely fix it—even at the cost of their own life—is the true Creator. If someone boasts of having created something but fails to fix it when it actually breaks down, they are not a true owner. It is like giving birth to a child but failing to breastfeed and raise it; such a person is not a true parent. 2. A plan of salvation must be established prior to salvation. Our humanity, too, has fallen into a swamp of death, infected by the deadly virus known as sin. To survive, we must first seek out the gods who claim, "I created the world." Chapter 39, Verse 5 of the Quran, the holy book of Islam, states, "Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth." Chapter 6 of the Chundogya Upanishad, the holy book of Hinduism, also states that the Absolute Being, Brahman, created the world. If so, how do they save us, who are broken? The method of salvation in Islam is strict obedience to the Law. God dwells in heaven and casually tosses down a rope called the Law. "Grab this rope tightly and climb up by your own strength. Then I will save you." What about Buddhism or Hinduism? They teach that one must attain enlightenment and sever karma on one's own. Since God does not even lower a rope, one must climb the well wall with bare hands on one's own. Is this truly the salvation of a perfect Creator? Telling a human being, who has fallen into a cesspool like a newborn baby and is completely exhausted, to "figure it out on your own" is not salvation but inaction. No parent gives birth to a baby without first designing in their mind how to raise it. If something has been created, it is the Creator's natural duty to establish a 'plan' in advance on how to fix it when problems arise. A true Creator should have written down that perfect salvation mechanism in the 'blueprint' called the Bible before humans fell into sin. Look at the Bible. God, the true Creator, is completely different from the irresponsible gods of other religions. God has meticulously prophesied in the Old Testament how He would save humanity through the Messiah. Look at the sign of Jonah, who spent three days inside the belly of a great fish, revealing the timetable of death and resurrection. Also, look at the prophecy of the Suffering Servant in the Book of Isaiah, which explicitly states, "He was pierced for our transgressions, and he was crushed for our iniquities" (Isaiah 53:5). These numerous blueprints and prophecies of salvation were perfectly realized hundreds of years later through Jesus Christ, without a single error. Only the true Creator possesses in advance the perfect blueprint to fix His broken creation, and He saves us according to that plan. 3. The Image of the Trinit...
