From misty forest to sunlit peaks: the perfect winter hike
A sedate ridge walk from a secluded, misty forest: an early start gave us a brief cloud inversion until the sun got going. Peace and quiet amidst the secluded forest of Talybont & an easy ascent gave us a fantastic ridge walk that was easy on the eyes AND the knees! Not the highest peak in the Brecons but certainly one with fantastic views right across the region, a cold, windy day that certainly got the blood pumping and a sunlit stroll through Fechan forest at the end. As a taster for the region, this has certainly given me many reasons to return to this place; with winding lanes, brooding forests and rushing waterfalls #hiking #mountains #hikingadventures #outdoorphotography #hike #outdooradventure #hikers
