Are Developers Abandoning Low End PCs?
Modern PC gaming feels strange right now. A new AAA game drops and you check the specs and of course your pc doesn't stand a chance. And that begs the question, Do game developers actually care about low-end PC gamers anymore? In this video I wanted to look at both sides of the conversation instead of turning it into another rant. Because the reality is that modern game development is complicated. Optimization takes time, money, and a ridiculous amount of testing across thousands of different PC configurations. But at the same time, there are still developers out there making games that scale incredibly well on weaker hardware, and I think those studios deserve way more recognition than they get. If you’ve ever spent an hour tweaking graphics settings just to keep your FPS stable, this video will probably feel very familiar. #pcgaming #lowendpc #gaming #optimization #steam
