Anger, frustration, and helplessness. This is how Szczecin residents are reacting to the wall that has been erected across a popular crossing between the Arkońskie and Warszewo neighborhoods. For many, especially the elderly and those without cars, this was a daily shortcut to the store, clinic, and bus stop. 🚧 The owner of the private property claims that the construction of the wall is a result of helplessness and a lack of understanding with the city, which allegedly demanded the construction of a sidewalk. The authorities respond that the investor broke off negotiations and is using residents as hostages in its dispute with the city hall. Who is responsible for this stalemate? Can the crossing, used by residents for years, ever be restored?
